Announces Admission to Postgraduate Studies in the year 2024
Doctor of Philosophy degree candidates are trained in postgraduate studies on a full-time (daytime, evening) basis at the expense of the state budget of Ukraine or the cost of individuals and/or legal entities; part-time students are trained exclusively at the expense of individuals and/or legal entities.

The acceptance of applications, competitive selection, conclusion of study agreements between a higher education institution and an applicant, and enrollment in full-time education at the expense of individuals and legal entities (except for applicants from among the persons specified in parts one, three, five, six of Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine “On Mobilization Training and Mobilization,” subject to confirmation of the relevant right using the Unified State Web Portal of Electronic Services (Portal Diia) or through electronic information interaction between the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Persons Liable for Military Service and Reservists and the Unified State Electronic Database on Education).
The standard period for preparing a Doctor of Philosophy in graduate school is four years.
Persons with a master’s (specialist’s) degree are admitted to graduate school. Entrance examinations consist of entrance examinations in the specialty (within the scope of the master’s degree program in the relevant specialty), a foreign language (English) to the extent that corresponds to level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and a presentation of research proposals or achievements, which consists of hearing, discussing and evaluating the applicant’s scientific report.
A condition for admission to the entrance examinations at a higher education institution is the successful completion of the Unified Entrance Exam (UEE) in 2023 with a score of at least 130 points in the English language test and at least 100 points in the General Knowledge Test (GKT) or the successful completion of the UEE in 2024 with a score of at least 160 points in the GKT and at least 100 points in the English language. The Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment conducts the EMI by law.
You shall submit following documents for admission to graduate school:
1) application of the applicant;
2) a personal sheet of personnel records;
3) 2 color photographs 3×4 cm;
4) UEE examination sheet taken in 2023 or 2024;
5) a copy of the document granting the right to use special conditions for participation in the competitive selection (if any);
6) a medical certificate of health in the form No. 086-о (or another form with similar content if the applicant is abroad at the time of submission of documents for admission to graduate school);
7) a copy of the master’s (specialist’s) degree with an appendix indicating the specialty obtained. In case of submission of a document on the degree (level) of education obtained abroad, the procedure for recognizing and establishing the equivalence of this document is mandatory, which is carried out by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated May 05, 2015 No. 504 “Some issues of recognition of foreign educational documents in Ukraine,” registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on May 27, 2015, under No. 614/27059;
8) a list and copies of published scientific papers and inventions and a scientific text (report, abstract, research proposal, project) in the chosen specialty;
9) a written opinion of the proposed supervisor on the publications and scientific texts of the applicant (if any);
10) autobiography;
11) characteristic from the place of work (for unemployed persons – from the previous place of work or study);
12) a copy of an identity document provided for by the Law of Ukraine “On the Unified State Demographic Register and Documents Confirming Citizenship of Ukraine, Identity or Special Status of a Person”;
13) a copy of the certificate of assignment of the registration number of the taxpayer’s account card;
14) a copy of a military registration document (for persons liable for military service – a military ID or a temporary certificate of a person liable for military service; for conscripts – a certificate of registration with a military registration office);
15) consent to the collection and processing of personal data.
Copies of an identity document and a military registration document are not subject to certification. Copies of records must be made with the presentation of originals.

The training of applicants for the Doctor of Science degree in doctoral studies is carried out full-time at the expense of the state budget of Ukraine or the cost of individuals and legal entities. The normative preparation period for a Doctor of Science in doctoral studies is two years.
Persons who have a doctoral degree (PhD), scientific achievements that require completion or formalization in the form of a dissertation (research report) and at least half of the scientific publications on the topic of the dissertation (research report) from the number determined by the Ministry of Education and Science that meet the requirements established by the Ministry of Education and Science in scientific periodicals in the relevant field of research are admitted to doctoral studies.
The following documents are submitted for admission to doctoral studies:
1) application of the applicant;
2) a personal sheet of personnel records;
3) 2 color photographs 3×4 cm;
4) a medical certificate of health in the form No. 086-о (or another form with similar content if the applicant is abroad at the time of submission of documents for admission to the doctoral program);
5) a copy of the master’s (specialist’s) degree with an appendix indicating the specialty obtained. In case of submission of a document on the degree (level) of education obtained abroad, a notarized translation of the document into Ukrainian and a copy of the certificate of recognition of a foreign educational document issued by the Ministry of Education and Science shall be additionally submitted;
6) a copy of the Doctor of Philosophy (Candidate of Sciences) diploma or a copy of the certificate of recognition of the academic degree issued by the Ministry of Education and Science;
7) a copy of the certificate of awarding the academic title of associate professor/professor (if any);
8) a research plan with information on the amount of scientific work required to prepare scientific achievements for defense;
9) a list and copies of scientific publications on the topic of the dissertation in the chosen specialty (at least half of the scientific publications on the topic of the dissertation from the number determined by the Ministry of Education and Science);
10) autobiography;
11) characterization from the place of work;
12) a copy of an identity document provided for by the Law of Ukraine “On the Unified State Demographic Register and Documents Confirming Citizenship of Ukraine, Identifying a Person or His/her Special Status”;
13) a copy of the certificate of assignment of the registration number of the taxpayer’s account card
14) a copy of the military registration document;
15) consent to the collection and processing of personal data.
Copies of an identity document and a military registration document are not subject to certification. Copies of documents are only accepted when presenting the originals.
