The State University of Intelligent Technologies and Communications has a Primary Trade Union of Students, which includes 5 students from different faculties and courses. Over the past 10 years, the students’ trade union committee has been headed by the following students: Serhii Volodymyrovych Puchkov, Dmytro Ivanovych Sheryako, Yevhen Mykhailovych Omelchuk, and on May 12, 2017, Anastasia Vadimivna Sklyaruk, who is currently a graduate student at the university, was elected as the head of the student union.
The main tasks of the Primary trade union of the student organization are:
– ensuring that students fulfill their duties;
– protection of the rights and interests of students in relation to the organization of the educational process;
– participation of the trade union active in the control of the results of credit and examination sessions and control of the accrual of academic and social scholarships;
– assistance to students from Chernobyl, students from low-income families, and various types of beneficiaries;
– provision of legal and material assistance to socially vulnerable students.
The main goal of the organization is to protect the rights and interests of students.
Of course, the Trade Union cares not only about scientific development, it also cares about the creative growth of students. From the beginning of its activities until today, the Students’ Union has paid great attention to students’ leisure time. The organization organizes intellectual quests in the city and at the university several times a year, thereby not forgetting about the mental abilities of students. Twice a year, SUITT students go to the “Electron” recreation center, where the “SUITT Olympic Games” and “Student Leader School” competitions take place. There, students are given the opportunity to express themselves and get to know each other, members of the trade union committee and activists.
For ten years in a row, the Students’ Union has been organizing a festival-competition for freshmen – “Student Winter”. The competition is held in three nominations: vocal, dance and KVK.
Also, all students are given the opportunity to go on weekend tours, which contribute to the acquaintance of students of different faculties, strengthening friendly relations, help to learn a lot of new things and see the cities of Ukraine with their own eyes. Our students have already visited: Uman, Lviv, Kharkiv and the magical Carpathians.
The SUITT students’ professional committee follows the best traditions of the university, and also supports new ideas.
