The scientific and pedagogical potential of the Faculty of Business and Social Communications consists of 13 doctors of sciences and 25 candidates of sciences.
The organization of the educational and scientific-methodological process at the faculty allows solving the most challenging tasks in the field of higher education and professional training of specialists in the economic and socio-humanitarian spheres, taking into account the internationalization of scientific and educational activities in the context of Eurointegration.
Our faculty provides education for higher education seekers at the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education in the following specialties: 051 Economics; 053 Psychology; 054 Sociology; 061 Journalism; 073 Management; 075 Marketing; 281 Public Administration and Administration; 290 “International Relations, Social Communications, and Regional Studies”. At the second (master’s) level of higher education, training of future specialists is carried out in the following specialties: 051 Economics; 054 Sociology; 073 Management. For seekers of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education, 8 Educational-Professional Programs are offered, namely:
- Digital Economy;
- Public Management of Innovative and Information Ecosystems;
- Psychology;
- Sociology;
- Advertising and Public Relations;
- Management;
- Marketing;
- International Communications.
For seekers of the second (master’s) level of higher education, 3 Educational-Professional Programs are offered:
- Digital Economy (specialty 051 Economics);
- Mass Communications of the Digital Society;
- Management.
For seekers of the third (Doctor of Philosophy) level of higher education, 1 Educational-Scientific Program is offered:
- Economics (specialty 051 Economics).
Research work at the faculty is conducted on 5 topics, including:
- “Strategic Approaches to the Development of the National Marketing Management System Based on Digitalization and Intellectualization of Communication Processes” (Research project No. 0122U201450), 2022-2024 (Research Supervisor: Doctor of Economics, Professor Chukurna O.P.);
- “Strategic Management of Economic Stability of a Telecommunications Enterprise in Modern Crisis Conditions” (Research project No. 0123U100319) (Research Supervisor: Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Birbirenko S.S.);
- “Study of New Conditions of Activity, Behavior, and Relations of Modern Technological Companies and Universities: Theory, Methodology, Practice” (Research Supervisor: Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Korablnova I.A.);
- “Current Problems of Implementing Adaptive Potential of Personality in Modern Conditions” (Research project No. 0123U103989), 2023-2025 (Research Supervisors: Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Palchinska M.V., Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor Khmel N.D.);
- “Research on Media Convergence and Cross-Media in Conditions of Martial Law” (Research Supervisor: Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor Kokorev O.V.).
International Cooperation International activities at the Faculty of Business and Social Communications are carried out based on scientific, methodological, and academic cooperation and are implemented in the following directions:
- In terms of scientific events and organization and participation in international scientific-practical conferences with foreign universities as partners, including: Information and Innovation Technologies in the XXI Century (September 15-16, 2022, Silesian Academy, Katowice, Poland); Digital Economy and Digital Society (April 19-20, 2023, Silesian Academy, Katowice, Poland); Modern Problems of Improving Living Standards in a Globalized World (November 29-30, 2023, Academy of Applied Sciences – Academy of Management and Administration in Opole, Opole, Poland).
- In terms of implementing academic mobility programs for higher education seekers and faculty members, activities with the E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University (academic mobility of higher education seekers, faculty exchange) and within the memorandum with the Business School of the National University of Louis (Nowy Sacz, Poland) initiated a double degree program for the second (master’s) level of higher education for specialties 051 “Economics” and 073 “Management”.

- Silesian Academy (Higher Technical School in Katowice) (Katowice, Poland), contract dated September 15, 2022;
- E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University (Karaganda, Kazakhstan), agreement dated August 12, 2022;
- Academy of Applied Sciences – Academy of Management and Administration in Opole (Opole, Poland), agreement dated November 6, 2022.
Academic Mobility International program of external academic mobility of higher education seekers within the agreement with the Business School of the National University of Louis (Nowy Sacz, Poland) for the introduction of double degree programs for the second (master’s) level of higher education for specialties 051 “Economics” and 073 “Management”. International program of external academic mobility of higher education seekers within the agreement with E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University (Karaganda, Kazakhstan), initiated on a permanent basis academic mobility with the Faculty of Economics. Organized internship programs for academic staff of the Department of Economics and Management of the Faculty of Economics (from March 27, 2023, to June 01, 2023) and academic staff of E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University (from July 03, 2023, to July 29, 2023). Conducted a series of guest lectures at E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University on the course “Digital Economy” (April 2023).
Student Science The faculty actively conducts events to involve higher education seekers of all levels in student scientific activities. Bachelor’s and master’s degree seekers have become laureates of international Olympiads and scientific competitions, including the International Olympiad in Digital Economy at Karaganda
E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University, (March 25-26, 2022, and May 9-10, 2023, Karaganda, Kazakhstan). The faculty of Business and Social Communications initiated the following All-Ukrainian and international competitions based at E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University, in which seekers of specialties 073 “Management”, 061 “Journalism”, 075 “Marketing” also received laureate diplomas:
- All-Ukrainian competition of qualification works in the specialty 073 “Management” for the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education on September 27-29, 2023 (Rector’s Order No. 01-02-59 dated April 17, 2023).
- All-Ukrainian competition of qualification works in the specialty “Journalism” for the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education on October 25-27, 2023 (Rector’s Order No. 01-02-73 dated May 4, 2023).
- International competition of student scientific works in marketing, April 25-26, 2024 (Rector’s Order No. 01-02-40 dated March 4, 2024).
