On February 16, 2023, the rector of the State University of Intelligent Technologies and Communications Oleksandr Nazarenko signed memorandums with the head of the Kyiv District Court of Odesa and the head of the Public Organization “Association of Investigating Judges of Ukraine” Serhiy Chvankin regarding the development of cooperation in the fields of research, education and innovation .
The purpose of cooperation is to solve joint tasks and create conditions for the most effective use of the scientific potential of both institutions and public organizations.
“The university responds to all the needs of society. So, this year, realizing the relevance and prospects, we opened a new educational direction – IT law. It is the IT sphere that is the only branch of the country’s economy that, despite the war, grew in 2022, and grew by a good percentage. According to the NBU, for example, in 2022, the export of IT services from Ukraine increased by 5.8% compared to 2021 – to 7.35 billion dollars. In 2022, 331,000 specialists worked in the industry. Over 5 years, the IT industry has created more than 180,000 jobs. Now our graduates are needed everywhere, and first of all in the judicial authorities. Because the state is actively promoting the reform of transformation and optimization of all branches of government. We hope that the signing of the memorandums will give a new impetus to the in-depth study and application of intelligent technologies in the domestic judiciary,” said Oleksandr Nazarenko.
